BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer to safeguard staff and visitors in a busy Plymouth store. You will patrol premises, greet customers, manage entrances, and respond to incidents with calm, professional conduct.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with day shifts and weekend availability. Upon transfer after 12 weeks, you may enjoy funded benefits including SIA license renewal, cycle-to-work, private medical cover, pension, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Handing out baskets
• Greeting customers and helping staff
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.
