Job summary

BDL is looking for experienced Shuttering Joiners to support major regeneration projects in Glasgow. In this role, you will perform shuttering activities and ensure safety standards are met. Candidates must hold a valid Blue CSCS card and have proven experience in heavy civils works.

The position offers long-term work, weekly pay, and a safety-led environment. You'll be involved in projects with reinforced concrete structures and will collaborate closely with project teams.

• Proven experience as a Shuttering Joiner.
• Reliable work history in shuttering/formwork or heavy civils.

Job description

Overview

Careys Civil Engineering is recruiting experienced Shuttering Joiners to support the delivery of one of Glasgow's major city centre regeneration and infrastructure developments. This is long‑term work on reinforced concrete and heavy civils schemes, including retaining walls, slabs, pile caps, cores, ground beams and associated RC structures across a large phased programme.

What you will be doing

• Carrying out shuttering formwork activities safely and to specification
• Installing and striking formwork systems
• Working from drawings and programme requirements
• Supporting reinforced concrete pours and associated civils activities
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping

Requirements

Essential

• Valid Blue CSCS Skilled Worker card (min)
• Proven experience as a Shuttering Joiner on civils, infrastructure, or RC projects
• Experience with PERI, Doka or timber formwork systems
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Reliable work history, within shuttering/formwork or heavy civils environments
• Strong understanding of safe working practices

Desirable

• Experience on RC Frame, large reinforced concrete structures, or major infrastructure projects
