Job summary

Wood Plc is recruiting experienced Shutdown Pipefitters for a planned outage on site in Teesside. This hands-on role suits highly skilled pipefitters with proven experience in fast-paced shutdown environments, delivering high-quality work on critical plant equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial shutdowns and power generation environments.
• NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent pipefitting certification.
• Ability to read isometric drawings, blueprints and specs.
• Strong teamwork and safety focus in tight outage schedules.
• Flexibility to work shifts and onshore shutdown projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems.
• Interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan tasks.
• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes to standards.
• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks or faults.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and trades to meet schedules.
• Document pipefitting activities and materials used.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental protocols.
