Job summary

Stagecoach Witney Depot is seeking a hands-on Bus Depot Service Assistant to help keep our buses clean, safe, and ready to hit the road. Based at Witney, you’ll fuel and oil the fleet, drive shunting vehicles, clean interiors and exteriors, and support daily depot operations.

We offer £15.97 per hour, full training, 20 days holiday, a generous pension, free travel for you and a companion, and a supportive, inclusive team environment. A UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Fuelling and oiling the fleet.
• Shunting and parking vehicles safely around the depot.
• Cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, including deep cleans.
• Keeping the premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms.
• Collecting parts when needed.
• Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment.
• Supporting the team and depot operations safely and efficiently.

At Stagecoach, our Bus Depot Service Assistants play a vital behind-the-scenes role in keeping our buses clean, safe, and ready to hit the road. You'll be an essential part of a supportive team helping to maintain a modern fleet as our depots continue to evolve, with low-emission and electric vehicles.

What you'll be doing:

• Fuelling and oiling our fleet of buses and coaches
• Driving (shunting) vehicles safely around the depot and parking them correctly
• Cleaning the interior and exterior of our vehicles, including deep cleans
• Keeping our premises tidy and hygienic, including washrooms
• collecting parts when needed
• Logging fuel and oil usage and completing daily checks on equipment
• Supporting your team and contributing to a safe, efficient depot operation
