Role Overview
As Showroom Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance, presentation, and profitability of your showroom. You’ll lead a team of passionate Sofa Hosts, driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and ensuring every visitor experiences the best of Sofa Club.
You’ll set the tone for the showroom — from creating an inspiring environment that reflects our brand, to coaching your team to exceed targets. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine commercial focus with a genuine love for people and interiors.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, motivate, and inspire the Sofa Host team to deliver exceptional service and hit sales goals.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training for new team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, energy, and collaboration.
Sales & Customer Experience
- Drive showroom performance against sales and conversion targets.
- Deliver a consistently premium, customer-first experience.
- Support with complex sales or escalations, ensuring every customer leaves happy.
- Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Showroom Operations
- Oversee daily showroom operations including rotas, cash handling, stock levels, and compliance.
- Ensure the showroom is always immaculate, on-brand, and visually inspiring.
- Manage deliveries, floor moves, and product presentation.
- Ensure all processes and policies are followed, including health & safety and GDPR.
Commercial & Brand Ownership
- Act as the brand ambassador in your showroom, embodying Sofa Club’s tone, style, and values.
- Report performance metrics, insights, and opportunities to the Head of Retail.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and operations to maximise local impact.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven retail management experience (ideally furniture, interiors, or premium retail).
- Track record of exceeding sales and KPI targets.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Commercially astute with an eye for detail and design.
- Proficient with POS and CRM systems.
- Comfortable working weekends and adapting to business needs.
