A leading automotive retail group in the United Kingdom is looking for a Receptionist / Host to manage customer reception and calls efficiently. Candidates should have a smart appearance and be competent in numeracy, literacy, and IT. You will ensure a welcoming environment for visitors while maintaining a tidy reception area and coordinating calls. This full-time position requires work Monday to Friday, with varying hours.

Job Purpose

The role of the Receptionist / Host is to:

• Ensure customers and visitors receive an immediate welcome.
• Ensure all calls, both internal and external are answered and dealt with efficiently within the correct process.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure reception area is staffed and kept tidy at all times.
• Direct customers towards the seating area and offer refreshments while they are waiting.
• Handle and co‑ordinate all calls and visitors, taking full details of the caller’s business, paging members of staff as needed.
• Establish and maintain a system to monitor the whereabouts of key staff at all times.
• Keep customer refreshments stocked up at all times.
• Keep customer waiting area clean and tidy and clear of crockery etc at all times; also kitchen area in showroom.
• Correctly process all outgoing post ready for dispatch each evening.
• Ensure the safety and security of people, vehicles and property at all times, reporting any known faults or hazards.
