MTL Advanced is hiring a Shot Blaster at our Rotherham facility. You will work to production schedules and support painting/finishing operations in a busy shop floor environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of shot blasting experience, knowledge of blasting grades, and fluent English. Shift pattern rotates across days, evenings and nights, with competitive pay and extensive company benefits.

• At least 1 year of current shot blaster experience.
• Knowledge of blasting grades (Swedish standards, etc).
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Desirable: lifting/slinging safety certificate.
• Desirable: forklift license.
• Desirable: recovery blast booth operations / general maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Follow production schedules.
• Complete admin procedures for paint area.
• Keep a clean, safe working environment.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations.
• Maintain own equipment and perform standard checks (grit/hose/nozzles).
• Attend meetings as needed.
• Perform other ad hoc duties in production.

VACANCY: Shot Blaster

SHIFT: Rotating 3 Shifts – Week of Days 6am – 2pm followed by a week of Afternoons 2pm-10pm and a week of nights 10pm – 6am.

PAY: £15.17 per hour

LOCATION

Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Work to specific production schedules
• Complete all administrative procedures relating to paint area
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Adherence to COSHH
• Maintain own equipment, change grit valve, check and change grit-hose, dead man’s handle and nozzles etc.
• Attend meetings as and when needed
• Any other ad hoc duties as may be required within the production environment.

ABOUT YOU

• At least 1 year’s current experience as a shot blaster
• Knowledge of blasting grades (Swedish standards etc)
• Be fully conversant in both written and verbal English
• Lifting and slinging safe working knowledge / certificate (desirable)
• Valid Forklift Truck License (desirable)
• Knowledge of recovery blast booth operations / general maintenance (desirable)
