Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, laundry and ironing; hotel-standard bed making; care of fine clothing and fabrics.
• Unboxing deliveries; disposing of packaging; shredding confidential paperwork; maintain stocks of cleaning supplies.
• Liaise with the PA regarding booking, management and payment of household contractors.
• Occasional cooking of healthy, nutritious meals.
• Wardrobe management and seasonal organisation; dry cleaning.
• Keep communal areas clean and tidy; occasional errands/PA duties; stock management.
• Occasional dog sitting/walking.
• Driver prepared to drive 4x4 with clean licence.

Short Term Live out Housekeeper/PA Child friendly Job, Reading

A client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a Top Notch Housekeeper/ PA, child friendly to look after their home (one in Windsor and one near Reading)

The family (2 adults and 3 children) lives in a remote location so it is important that the candidate can drive and had their own car so they can get there easily.

The family is warm and welcoming and require someone who is warm and caring but able to remain professional, proactive and conscientious.

The role will vary depending on the family’s schedule so you will need to be flexible and happy to muck in where needed. They also employ a Nanny.

Child and pet friendly (they have a small dog) and an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate are essential.

The ideal candidate will be someone with extensive experience working to Grade I listed property and/or five-star hotel standards.

Candidates with experience of hotel standard linens and bed-making, knowledge of how to handle expensive fabrics, fixtures and fittings strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a Grade 1 listed country house before.

Duties:

• Housekeeping: Cleaning bathrooms, laundry and ironing, care of fine clothing and fabrics, hotel-standard bed making, dusting and polishing, vacuuming, cupboard and wardrobe organisation, packing and unpacking suitcases, deep cleaning, emptying bins and taking items to the recycling centre as required.
• Household administration: Unboxing deliveries, disposing of packaging, shredding confidential paperwork, maintaining stocks of cleaning supplies and toiletries, and household shopping.
• Liaising with the PA regarding the booking, management and payment of household contractors
• Occasionally cooking healthy and nutritious meals
• Wardrobe management (seasonal organisation, dry cleaner...).
• Keeping communal areas clean and tidy
• Occasional errands / PA duties (liaising with contractors, gardeners, managing the stock, weekly shop.)
• Occasional Dog sitting / Dog walking. (cleaning him, vet appointment).
• Driver happy to drive 4x4, with clean licence

Salary: £25 gross per hour
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday from 7am to 3.30pm, Saturday to Sunday 7.30am to 1.30pm
Pets: Miniature Dachshund
