Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an experienced Joiner for a York shop fit-out project starting 21/09/2026. The contract runs four weeks with 12-hour days, seven days a week.

You will install doors, architraves, counters and do general 2nd fix joinery, using drawings and site instructions. A CSCS card and own tools are essential, with reliability and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• CSCS card - essential.
• Proven experience as a joiner.
• Previous commercial/shop fit-out experience preferred.
• Own tools.
• Reliable and hard-working.
• Able to commit to 7 days per week.

Joiner - Shop Fit Out

Location: York

Duration: 4 weeks

Start Date: 21/09/2026

Rate: £23-£25 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 7 days per week,12 hours per day

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Joiner to work on a shop fit-out project in York, starting 21st September 2026.

This is a 4-week project offering consistent work, with shifts running 7 days a week and approximately 9-10 hours per day.

• Installing internal doors and door frames
• Fitting architraves
• Installing pre-built counters
• General 2nd fix joinery
• Assisting with other joinery aspects of the shop fit-out
• Working from drawings and site instructions where required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Requirements
