The Role: Lead and Inspire

As the Store Manager, you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day operation of the shop. Your key focus will be on maximising sales and profit to generate essential income for the charity.

What you'll be doing:
  • Driving Performance: Implement promotions, ensure high stock availability on the shop floor, and meet all sales targets and KPIs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, develop, and appraise paid staff, creating a positive and organised working environment.
  • Recruitment & Management: Actively recruit and manage a thriving team of volunteers, ensuring they are supported to achieve store objectives.
  • Stock Generation: Proactively ensure stock is generated from the public and maximise Gift Aid sign-ups.
  • Presentation & Service: Maintain an exceptional standard of visual merchandising (windows and interior) and ensure customers receive the high-quality service expected.
  • Please be sure to adhere strictly to all financial, cash handling, security, and retail procedures.
What You'll Bring:
  • Proven experience managing people in a retail environment (staff and/or volunteers).
  • A track record of meeting targets and KPIs in a retail environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to engage with people from all backgrounds.
  • Strong numeracy skills for cash handling, reconciliation, and budget maintenance.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Working Pattern: The store is open 7 days a week. You will be required to work on a rota basis, which includes weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
