Job summary

Salvation Army Trading Company is seeking a Shop Manager to lead daily operations of a charity shop, delivering excellent customer service and overseeing staff and volunteers. You will manage donations, display items, and build relationships with local partners to secure support and ongoing fundraising opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shop operations and ensure a welcoming, customer‑friendly environment.
• Prepare, sort and display donated items, handling manual tasks as required.
• Recruit, train and maintain a pool of skilled volunteers for collection, sorting and customer service.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous retail or charity shop experience is an advantage.

• All Shop Managers must complete an Enhanced DBS Check.
