A leading charity retailer seeks a Shop Manager for their Ringwood shop. You'll lead a team to deliver excellent customer service, manage stock processes, and engage with the community. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and assist in fundraising initiatives. This role offers £13.17 per hour and a benefits package including up to 33 days holiday, pension scheme, and employee support programs.
As a Shop Manager you will use your skills and retail experience to drive business, push sales and achieve targets.

To be successful in this role you'll have the commercial awareness to deliver sales and meet deadlines combined with ability to plan and prioritise. You will have proven team leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team of volunteers. It is essential you enjoy engaging with people, you have a positive can‑do attitude and a good understanding of financial and IT administration.
Sue Ryder is one of the largest charity retailers in the UK with over 400 shops. Every item sold in our shops generates funding so we can continue to provide 2.7 million hours of expert medical, practical, bereavement and emotional support every year, in our hospices, in people’s homes and in the community. We are here to make sure that everyone approaching the end of life or living with grief can access the support they need. We have a much‑loved presence on high streets across the country – with a range of innovative shops, including boutiques, vintage and retro shops, and large format stores. As a member of the retail team, you’ll be helping us inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle. You will also be contributing to drive up the income that generates the vital funds necessary to keep our care and support services running. We understand our people are our most important asset and work hard to make sure you feel valued and included as part of a team. In retail most work every weekend, our managers mainly work only 1 in 2. We don’t expect our teams to work past 5.15 in most of our shops. The earliest we start is 8.45am. We have every Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off. Specialising in furniture, electricals and homeware, our Sue Ryder Ringwood shop is the largest charity shop in the area. We pride ourselves on our top branded clothing and accessories as well as high‑quality bric‑a‑brac, media and books. We are a community shop and our regulars are always excited to find something new or interesting to get their hands on at a competitive price. We also stock an extensive range of new goods from wool and sewing equipment to an exciting range of homeware.
Sue Ryder Charity shop, 20 Meeting House Ln, Ringwood BH24 1EY. 37.5 hours per week over 7 days. Working hours: the earliest start is 8:45am and we don’t expect teams to work past 5:15pm in most shops. Managers typically work one day in two and we have every Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off.
