Job summary

AC Corporation, a Crete United company, seeks an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Greensboro fabrication team. You will fabricate ductwork and related equipment for commercial, industrial, and institutional HVAC projects, reading blueprints and setting up components per drawings.

The role requires MIG/TIG welding skills, knowledge of hand tools, lift equipment and rigging. Competitive hourly pay, paid life insurance, disability cover, and 401(k) with match are offered.

Qualifications

• Must weld to procedures using MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW).
• Minimum 2 years metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• A MIG and TIG weld test on stainless, carbon, galvanized and aluminum will be required at interview.
• Able to use hand tools, man lifts, platform lifts, forklifts and rigging equipment.
• Follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate ductwork, air distribution accessories and related equipment.
• Locate, measure and outline installation areas from drawings.
• Drill holes, attach brackets and hangers.
• Fabricate complex fittings and ductwork.
• Assist with moving and loading materials.
• Set up equipment like coils, fans and humidifiers.
• Operate plasma cutters, grinders and related tools.
• Work overtime as required (evenings/weekends).

AC Corporation is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Fabrication team in Greensboro, NC.

Typical Duties

• Fabricate ductwork, air distribution accessories and associated equipment for commercial, industrial and institutional heating and air conditioning work.
• Locate, measure and outline installationareas from construction drawings.
• Drill holes, attach brackets, hangers and other holding devices.
• Fabricate complex fittings and ductwork for fabrication.
• Assist with moving, loading, unloading and distribution of material and parts.
• Set equipment such as coils, fans and humidifiers.
• Operate equipment such as shears, press brakes, sheet rollers, hem saws, plasma cutters, grinders, etc.
• Be able to work overtime when needed (evenings and weekends).

Qualifications

• Must have ability to weld to a qualified procedure using GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG)
