2nd shift - 2:00 PM - 11:00PM
PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all shipping & receiving functions are met. Employee must perform this Leadership role as part of the Management team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for the efficient and timely picking and shipping of all products shipped to our customers daily.
  • Responsible for overseeing the warehouse personnel, including the training, performance, guidance, and improvement.
  • Contribute to decision in hiring, discharge, transfer, and promotions.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of department goals and objectives.
  • Identify and document personnel issues and achievements to assist the manager in quarterly/annual reviews.
  • Perform a constant review of the warehouse space to maximize square footage and maximize efficiencies.
  • Assist the cycle count team with recounts and research of inventory discrepancies reported during the physical counts.
  • Assist Management in any physical audits during the year.
  • Moves inventory by scheduling material to be moved to and from warehouses.
  • Oversees the material movement as indicated in the documented procedure.
  • Assist with the warehouse housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
  • Completes the check in/out of inbounds and outbound.
  • Completes the inspection of inbound, outbound, and returned freight for damages or defects and ensure these are documented.
  • Assist the Quality Coordinator with the completion of corrective actions.
  • Assist the Quality Coordinator with the update of controlled documents to ensure they reflect the current processes.
  • Assist with the Ship/Rec. daily activities and future workloads, i.e., manpower and hours of operation.
  • Ensure Departmental Safety by being reinforcing the usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist and oversee the inbound deliveries and ensure all applicable paperwork is completed promptly.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all product shipments by communicating accurately with the transportation carriers.
  • Monitories the usage of supplies and communicates with the appropriate department when supplies are needed.
  • Assist the warehouse manager with control of overtime hours, vacation request and call off coverage.
  • Performs other duties as required (supervisor must be able to meet all essential functions of the Warehouse Operator and Warehouse Lead Job Profile).
  • All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or GED; 5 years or more related experience and/or training; or comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and aptitude to learn new applications.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time management and organization skills.
  • Experience with inventory control procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as pick tickets, bills of lading, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondence. Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day
  • Potential lifting of up to 55 pounds
  • Occasional climbing of ladders
  • Use of basic warehouse equipment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
LOCATION:

Position will be based out of the Montgomery Illinois site.

Salary Range:

$62,000 - $70,000 per year
