Job summary

Genuit Group’s Polypipe Horncastle division is hiring a Shift Technician to prepare, operate and maintain equipment, support tool changes, and help drive continuous improvement on the production lines.

You will work a 2 days 07:00-19:00, 2 nights 19:00-07:00 pattern, with four days off, training others and using lean methods to improve performance. Prior manufacturing and training experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment and training delivery.
• Ability to document processes and records accurately.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment and ensure machinery is ready for tool changes.
• Coordinate with team leaders to arrange resources for tool changes.
• Inspect quality during start-up and resolve production issues.
• Provide training on processes and procedures to develop production teams.
• Support machine start-ups/shutdowns and document actions.
• Promote safe working practices and proper PPE use.
• Monitor equipment performance and raise issues for fixes.
• Apply lean techniques (5S, Kanban, TPM, SMED) to drive improvements.
• Support daily production targets and data recording.
