Overview

Position - Nights Only - Shift Technician

Salary - Up to £61,000 per annum

Hours - 4on4off shift pattern - 7:00pm-7:00am

Location - Chiswick, West London

Reporting Into - Account Manager

TecRec are currently searching for an experienced Shift Technician to work on a night only, 4on4off shift pattern at a high-end critical site in Chiswick, West London. The client delivers the full range of modern facilities management services, using sustainable technologies and whole-life FM solutions to provide the best value for their customers. Currently manage over 500+ buildings and have over 300 employees across the FM division. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established maintenance provider who invest both time and training into their employees. This is a shift vacancy and you will be working on a night only 4on4off shift pattern which will run from 7:00pm-7:00am.

Responsibilities
  • This role involves delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile site, with a strong focus on building systems performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Respond to and complete help desk tasks (planned and reactive) within agreed timeframes, ensuring accurate reporting and handover to the Supervisor.
  • Carry out first-line maintenance on all mechanical and electrical plant, including pumps, motors, drives, AHUs, LV switchgear, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
  • Monitor and optimise building systems to ensure efficient operation and continuous improvement, with a focus on sustainability.
  • Operate and maintain building services systems in line with site procedures and statutory regulations.
  • This role is based on a single site, with occasional travel to other locations.

  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Mechanical Engineering

What we are looking for
  • Proven experience in a similar electrical engineering role within facilities or building services
  • Up-to-date electrical qualifications and a solid understanding of statutory regulations and industry codes of practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high standards and quality assurance
  • Ability to work effectively within a continental shift rota
  • Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage
