A leading manufacturing company in the UK seeks an experienced Shift Technician. In this role, you'll maintain and operate production equipment, conduct training, and ensure quality control. You must have previous manufacturing experience, be proficient with MS Office, and possess strong communication skills. The role features a rotating shift pattern and focuses on continuous improvement and team collaboration.
The Shift Technician will have in depth knowledge to prepare, operate, and maintain equipment and machinery safely and facilitate training. They will perform planned routine tool changes, maintain and repair tooling to keep production lines optimised and in good working order. They will support and facilitate the start up, shutdown of machines as well as problem solving, ensuring correct materials are utilised and perform quality control evaluations to confirm finished goods meet quality standards. They will share their experience and knowledge to train and develop our people to the required business documents. They will embrace and champion the trademark behaviours. You will work a shift pattern consisting of 2 days (0:00-19:00, followed by 2 nights (19:00-07:00) then 4 days off.
