Job summary

DS Smith in Louth is seeking a proactive Shift Manager to lead a production shift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, quality and productivity while developing a high‑performing team and fostering continuous improvement across the site.

You will manage performance, coach Team Leaders and ensure audit-ready GMP standards, with responsibilities spanning safety, quality, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing leadership roles such as Shift Manager or Production Manager.
• Strong people leadership skills to coach and develop teams.
• Experience driving operational performance and implementing change.
• Desirable qualification in Health & Safety, Quality Management or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop your shift team to deliver KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards.
• Lead daily shift start-up meetings, safety briefings and performance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Planning to maximise service levels and achieve OTIF.
