Job summary

McDonald’s United Kingdom is seeking candidates for the Shift Leader Development programme. You will orient, coach and develop a team of over 100 colleagues, ensuring standards for production, quality and customer service are met.

Starting at £14.00 per hour, trained rate rises to £15.00; night shifts from 12am–6am add £2 per hour. You will rotate across breakfasts, evenings and overnights, with a clear progression to Shift Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and leading teams in retail, hospitality, or customer-focused environments.
• Willing to work shift patterns including weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights and overnights.
• Strong leadership and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and coach employees to meet standards.
• Monitor operations, reallocate resources and solve operational problems.
• Drive sales, grow profitability and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
• Complete the six-month Shift Leader Development programme with in-store and external training.
