Job summary

Loomis UK Ltd is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a busy branch team, ensuring safe and efficient cash handling operations. You will oversee drivers and vault staff, drive excellent customer service, and work on a roster for out-of-hours alarm response.

The role requires strong leadership, integrity, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach to ensure branch performance aligns with Loomis standards.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal record checks, credit and ID verification.
• Verifiable 10-year history of employment/unemployment/education.
• SIA licence would be beneficial but not essential; assistance available to obtain one.

• Manage daily branch operations and supervise Delivery Drivers & Vault Operatives.
• Ensure deliveries, collections and storage activities are conducted safely and cost‑effectively.
• Champion customer-first service standards and maintain high quality across Loomis solutions.

Job description

As a Shift Manager, you will be joining a well-trained, supportive and friendly team, providing a vital role in cash transportation to your local area. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Branch Operations, overseeing a team of Delivery Drivers & Vault Operatives ensuring deliveries, collections & storage activities are made safely, cost-effectively and in accordance with customer service agreements. You will champion our "Customer First" approach through product knowledge & understanding of the range of Loomis solutions, appreciating customer requirements and quality standards. The role of a Shift Manager will require working flexibly and, as key holder, you will be expected to be available for out of hours alarm response on a roster basis. To succeed as a Shift Manager with Loomis UK, you will need to have previous experience as a Shift Manager (or similar level) with strong leadership skills. We are looking for individuals who are confident communicators, have a high level of integrity and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work as part of a team. Exceptional customer and commercial focus, with the ability to continuously review performance and professionally deliver customer satisfaction will also be vital to your role. Prior experience of direct customer management and liaison is essential, together with the ability to demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills. We also have some specific criteria that you will need to meet:

• You must be able to pass criminal record, personal credit and ID checks
• You must have verifiable 10-year employment/unemployment/educational history
• An SIA licence would be beneficial (but not essential, as we can support you in attaining one)
