Overview

Shift Manager required. Do you have proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role?

The basics:

Role: Shift Manager - Production

Location: near Heanor

Salary: £46100 + overtime = earnings of £51000 and upwards achievable.

Shift: 2 days / 2 nights 4 off.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of production operators and technicians.
  • Ensure production targets (output, quality, efficiency) are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor shift performance and address any operational issues promptly.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Conduct shift handovers and ensure clear communication across teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Ensure accurate completion of shift reports, production records, and KPI tracking.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
Ideal candidate
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role (desirable, not essential).
  • Strong understanding of production processes, safety standards, and quality systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • 5S and lean manufacturing methodology experience (desirable).
Location and commuting

Commutable from Heanor, Ilkeston, Ripley, Alfreton, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
