Job description

The Shift Manager will provide leadership and coordination of Manufacturing, Quality & Materials across shift. To hold responsibility for people performance and development of shift employees. Implement central standards and to be the decision maker on shift. Will be accountable for performance KPIs, safety & GPTW on shift, while working with functional department managers to fully utilise allocated labour.

  • Accountable for the safety of all shift employees
  • Accountable for making decisions regarding people, safety, quality & performance on shift, to drive optimum shift performance
  • Accountable for quality of all areas during shift, including, but not limited to, finished product quality, raw materials quality & relevant quality checks
  • Ensuring systems compliance in all operational areas (quality checks completed, recorded & validated) Ensure all Operational departments work together effectively to achieve target KPIs
  • Work with Area Managers to identify people development requirements of employees on shift & agree courses of action
  • Accountable for effective handovers to ensure consistency & minimum disruption across shift changeovers
  • Influential & Experienced Operations Leader
  • Shift Manager experience in a Food & Beverage FMCG or similar manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional people skills with a broad experience operational knowledge.
  • Highly organized with a proven agile mindset.
  • Operations Leadership including mentoring / coaching of high performing teams
  • Tangible experience of Lean operations implementation and process innovation
  • Cost rationalization through process development and effective resource management
  • Management of high performing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and management information development skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrable RCA capabilities and results
