Job summary

MTrec Limited is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a site in the North East manufacturing sector. The role covers reactive and planned maintenance on a range of production machinery, with involvement in installing new equipment and refurbishing old machines.

You will undertake programming tasks and prepare technical reports to analyse breakdowns and drive effective countermeasures. The ideal candidate is time served, multi-skilled, and has PLC experience or a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Time served in a maintenance role.
• Multi-skilled across electrical/mechanical tasks.
• Experience with PLC programming is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on production machinery.
• Install new equipment and refurbish existing machines.
• Carry out programming tasks and prepare technical reports to analyse breakdown causes and propose solutions.

Our client is a major force with in the North East manufacturing sector. Continued growth and development of their site is the reason they are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician.

The Role

• The role will be to work on both reactive and planned maintenance on a range of machinery associated with production.


• Along with day-to-day maintenance issues you also be heavily involved in the installation of new machinery and refurbishment of old machines.


• The Maintenance Technician will undertake programming activities and prepare technical reports to analyse breakdown causes, recommend practical countermeasures, and drive forward achievable solutions.

The Person

• Must be time served and multi-skilled.


• PLC experience is preferred.


• Must be happy to work continental shift.


• FMCG experience is preferred.
