Salary: £38,528 basic + £9,632 shift allowance (Total £48,160) + Overtime + Benefits

The Role

You’ll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of heavy plant and material handling equipment across a busy terminal site. The role involves working on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, performing diagnostics, and ensuring equipment operates at peak performance. This is a site‑based position following a fixed three‑week shift pattern.

About You
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of heavy plant, forklifts, cranes, or similar equipment
  • Skilled in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and CANBUS systems
  • Confident in reading wiring diagrams and carrying out fault‑finding tasks
  • Based within one hour of Belfast Container Terminal
  • Comfortable working at height and in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment
