Job summary

One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco, is seeking a Shift Leader to manage day-to-day store operations in a fast-paced retail setting. You will lead shifts, coordinate a team, and ensure a clean, welcoming store that meets customer expectations.

You will coach colleagues on service delivery, monitor store performance, and implement practical actions to improve efficiency while prioritising safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the team to deliver the easiest shopping trip in the community
• Open/close the store and complete duty cover with safety for customers and staff
• Be the go-to person for colleagues in absence of Store Manager for day-to-day queries
• Support Store Manager in coordinating seasonal, community and charity events
• Ensure the store is clean, tidy and well presented
• Prioritise replenishment of products that matter to customers
• Monitor and adjust point of sale and shelf edge labels
• Manage queues to deliver a great shopping trip for customers
• Ensure staff breaks are scheduled around trade patterns
• Build relationships with Area Manager and People Partner and escalate issues as needed
• Be a recognised Keyholder and respond to alarm calls when required
• Communicate store updates to the team and keep colleagues informed
