A wonderful opportunity has just been presented to us here at Leaders in Care, for an experienced residential support worker / manager to relocate to a gorgeous holiday destination in the Channel Islands, to join the team as a Shift Lead for a Residential Children's Home.
Leaders in Care are offering £30/h for this role. It is also outside IR35.
As a Shift Lead, you will help create a safe, nurturing and child‑centred environment by leading shifts, supporting consistent daily routines and ensuring high‑quality care. You will guide staff in implementing and reviewing individual care plans, maintain positive relationships with children and young people, and advocate for their wishes in all decision‑making. Working closely with families, carers and professionals, you will ensure coordinated and effective support for each child.
You will also be responsible for promoting safeguarding, managing risk, and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times. The role includes maintaining accurate and confidential records, contributing to the 24‑hour rota, and providing on‑shift coaching and support to staff. You will help maintain strong teamwork, uphold high standards of practice and carry out any additional duties required by the manager.
If you're passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children in care, this role is for you. You'll be joining a close‑knit service, backed by a longstanding and supportive senior management team. We're looking for someone who is driven to improve outcomes for children, committed to anti‑discriminatory and inclusive practice, and who genuinely believes in the potential of every child, no matter their background or experiences.
