We are recruiting for skilled engineers to join a busy food manufacturing environment. We have opportunities for both hands‑on Shift Engineers and experienced Engineering Shift Leaders. Whether you are looking to focus on technical maintenance or step into a leadership role, we have a position for you.
Key Responsibilities - Shift Engineer
- Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Key Responsibilities - Engineering Shift Leader
- Lead and supervise the engineering team during your shift.
- Coordinate with production to prioritize maintenance and quickly resolve equipment issues.
- Support team members in fault diagnosis and problem‑solving.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and promote a safe working culture.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
What We're Looking For
Shift Engineer
- Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Practical experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts.
Engineering Shift Leader
- Proven experience in an engineering role with supervisory or leadership responsibility.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable for Both Roles
- PLC experience
- Exposure to continuous improvement programs
- Multiskilled in mechanical and electrical disciplines
- Food manufacturing experience
