Commutable Locations: Tilbury, Grays, Southend‑on‑Sea, Basildon, Dartford, and surrounding areas.

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a Shift Electrician to join the team in Essex. The role involves maintaining electrical equipment and systems across a busy manufacturing site. With a shift pattern of 12‑hour days and nights, you will ensure that all electrical systems operate at peak performance, providing support to the production and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and reactive electrical maintenance across plant equipment.
  • Fault‑find and repair electrical equipment, including motors, inverter drives, and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, working in a safe and effective manner.
  • Participate in planned maintenance activities and ensure that all work is accurately logged in the CMMS system.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Qualifications: 17th Edition BS7671 (18th Edition desirable).
  • Experience: Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Siemens S5/S7) is beneficial.
  • Technical Expertise: Familiarity with automation control systems, motors, inverter drives, and other key plant equipment.

Salary: £55,000 per annum + Shift Allowance

Shift Pattern: 12‑hour shifts (Days: 6 am‑6 pm, Nights: 6 pm‑6 am), 2 days on, 3 nights on, 5 days off, with overtime opportunities.
