Job summary

A leading manufacturer in Gainsborough is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to reduce downtime and support maintenance initiatives. The successful candidate will conduct preventative maintenance, identify system upgrades, and quickly resolve faults. Requires an NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification and experience in a manufacturing environment. This role offers a competitive salary of £42,000+ and excellent benefits including various leave options and a health cash plan.

Qualifications

  • Electrical qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or BTEC.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Time-served Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias) with strong fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and servicing of equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Identify opportunities to modernise systems and enhance energy efficiency.
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.

  • Week 1: Sunday–Tuesday, 6:00am–6:00pm
  • Week 2: Wednesday–Friday, 6:00pm–6:00am

  • Week 4: Sunday–Tuesday, 6:00pm–6:00am
About The Role

Due to continuous growth and site expansion, a market leader in the printing and packaging manufacturing industry is looking for a proactive Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You'll play a key role in reducing downtime, supporting planned maintenance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planned & Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and servicing of equipment, systems, and structures to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • System Upgrades & Improvements: Identify opportunities to modernise systems, enhance energy efficiency, and implement new technologies to improve operational performance.
  • Fault Finding & Repairs: Quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise production downtime.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to site improvement projects and support the engineering team in maintaining world‑class manufacturing standards.
Requirements

Electrical qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or BTEC.

Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial maintenance environment.

Time‑served Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias) with strong fault‑finding skills.
