Overview

A permanent opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive company based in the heart of Gloucester. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a SHESQ Advisor to join a growing business who is highly invested in supporting career growth and offer opportunities to progress within the company. The successful candidate will be supporting excellence in Safety, Health, Environment & Quality across all operations ensuring the business complies with regulatory requirements, internal SHEQ systems and best practice standards, while supporting continuous improvement and enabling effective risk prevention.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain, monitor and report on SHEQ metrics, KPIs and registers specific to the company, covering safety incidents, environmental performance, quality non‑conformances, and near‑misses
  • Ensure SHEQ management system (incorporating ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001) is maintained
  • Coordinate internal and external audits for sites/operations; track findings and ensure closure
  • Contribute to development and revision of SHEQ policies/procedures tailored to delivery phases
  • Prepare and deliver regular reporting (monthly/quarterly) to senior management
  • Conduct risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), site inspections and SHEQ reviews
  • Identify hazards and opportunities for improvement; liaise with teams to implement corrective actions
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses including root cause analysis and follow up
  • Support change management to embed SHEQ in design, construction and asset management phases
  • Oversee quality assurance activities and ensure deliverables meet required standards
  • Monitor environmental aspects (waste, emissions, sustainability initiatives)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in SHEQ and embed a culture of high performance
  • Develop and deliver SHEQ training, toolbox talks, inductions and communications

Hours

Hours – Full time - Monday to Friday (hybrid working available)

Salary

Salary – up to £55,000 depending on experience + access to company vehicle + bonus arrangements
