Job summary

You will ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards and ISO frameworks while delivering audits, risk assessments and training. The role supports hybrid work and offers a company car, fuel card, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Provide SHEQ advice across office, site and field operations.
• Prepare and review risk assessments.
• Carry out internal audits and site inspections.
• Conduct SHEQ performance reviews and training.
• Support ISO standards and related procedures.
• Travel across the South of England and South Wales with hybrid availability.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8–5.

SHEQ Inspector (Construction / Geotechnical)

Swansea

Are you an experienced SHEQ Advisor with a NEBOSH qualification, looking to join a growing multidisciplinary engineering and environmental business where you can take an active role in improving health, safety, environmental and quality standards across a varied range of projects?

The company on offer is an established specialist provider of geotechnical, geoenvironmental, site and land-based services, with over 30 years of experience supporting clients across the construction, infrastructure, highways, utilities and energy sectors.

Working both internally and part of the wider group, you will work alongside the internal SHEQ team and wider engineering, design and operational teams to ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards and company procedures.

You will have a varied role covering site inspections, audits, risk assessments, training, incident investigations and continuous improvement, whilst helping make construction and ground engineering activities safer, healthier and more sustainable.

The suitable candidate will have experience in a health and safety role, across a similar environment, and hold a NEBOSH certificate.

The Role

• Provide SHEQ advice and guidance across office, site and field-based operations
• Prepare and review risk assessments
• Carry out internal audits, site inspections and SHEQ Performance reviews
• Provide inductions and training where applicable
• Support relevant ISO standards
• Working across the South of England and South Wales with hybrid availability
• Monday to Friday, 8 - 5

The Person

• Previous experience in a Health & Safety position within a similar environment
• NEBOSH certificate and knowledge of ISO standards
• Full UK Driving License
