About the Role

Our client is looking to strengthen their SHEQ function with a dedicated, site-based SHEQ Advisor for a key project in Bournemouth. This role plays a vital part in supporting the regional SHEQ Manager and driving best-in-class SHEQ performance across the project.

You will contribute to the continuous improvement of SHEQ standards, provide hands‑on support to project teams, collaborate closely with the wider organisation, and promote a culture where safety and quality are prioritised.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understanding and applying the company's approach to SHEQ risk management and performance.
  • Supporting a proactive and dynamic SHEQ culture across project teams.
  • Monitoring and assuring the closure and effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Organising, contributing to, and supporting SHEQ assurance audits.
  • Conducting or supporting accident and incident investigations.
  • Integrating with daily project delivery teams to understand operational challenges.
  • Working collaboratively with clients to enhance SHEQ delivery.
  • Providing insight across the project lifecycle and promoting sustainable solutions.
  • Conducting trend analysis and reporting on key SHEQ performance data.
  • Maintaining externally certified management systems.
What Our Client is Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong ability to collect, analyse and interpret high‑volume data while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proven ability to identify trends and communicate insights clearly.
  • Experience working within a SHEQ team.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and Approved Codes of Practice.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • Confident communicator at all organisational levels.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and recognise when escalation is needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Visio, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Flexible in working hours and location as required.
