Job summary

Browne Group is seeking a proactive SHEQ Advisor to champion safety, health, wellbeing, environmental responsibility and quality across our operations. You’ll support teams with expert guidance, develop compliant documentation, conduct site inspections and audits, lead investigations and drive a culture of continuous improvement.

You’ll travel to operational sites, deliver training, monitor compliance with evolving SHEQ legislation and act as a role model for safe, responsible working.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate (essential)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Environmental qualification (desirable)
• IOSH membership (TechIOSH, desirable)

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety, health, wellbeing, environmental and quality standards.
• Lead incident investigations and develop learning materials to drive continuous improvement.
• Guide operational teams on SHEQ procedures and deliver briefings and training.
• Monitor site compliance and ensure work meets legal and company standards.
• Liaise with clients and regulators; maintain risk assessments and management plans.

Job description

We’re looking for a proactive SHEQ Advisors to champion safety, health, wellbeing, environmental responsibility and quality across our operations. You’ll support teams with expert guidance, develop clear, compliant documentation, conduct site inspections and audits, lead incident investigations and help drive a culture of continuous improvement.

In this role, you’ll guide operational teams on SHEQ procedures, deliver briefings and training, monitor site compliance and ensure work meets legal and company standards. You’ll lead investigations, produce learning materials, carry out audits, support risk assessments and management plans, liaise with clients and regulators, and stay up to date with evolving SHEQ legislation. Above all, you’ll act as a visible role model for safe, responsible working.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring genuine passion for safety and wellbeing, strong communication skills and the confidence to influence teams at all levels. You’ll be comfortable working under pressure, able to travel across London and the Southeast, and confident engaging with diverse operational environments.

Experience

• Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor in utilities or construction

Essential Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
