We are seeking a motivated Sheltered Team Leader to lead a dedicated team of Scheme Managers across our Sheltered Schemes in Liverpool, Warrington, and St Helens. In this role, you will support the Operations Manager in delivering high-quality services, embedding best operational practices, and contributing to cross-functional projects that drive our strategic goals. You will also empower residents and guide team members to promote financial independence, raise aspirations, and sustain successful tenancies.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead on a case management approach and prioritize team members work loads
- Respond to, and manage crisis situations, ensuring that appropriate support is available for colleagues and customers
- Motivate and inspire team members to positively engage in team meetings and one to ones
- Participate and actively contribute at management team meetings and forums
- Actively manage own performance and that of the team utilizing performance frameworks and data
- To lead a consistent team approach to promoting independent living and delivering high quality services which maximises income to enable people to pay their rent
- Identify appropriate training to enable team members to carry out their roles competently and safely
- Encourage colleagues to take responsibility for their own learning
- Provide advice and support to team members in the handling of complex or sensitive issues
- Ensure communal rooms and general physical environments are kept to a high standard and all areas are clean and well maintained
- Attend resident meetings when required to do so
- To participate in the out of ours emergency Support Network on Call Rota
What We’re Looking For
- HND/Degree/Team Leader qualification or appropriate experience and training
- Extensive experience of working in a housing or social care sector
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legislation relating to services for older people
- Evidence of promoting the safety and protection of vulnerable adults by ensuring that all safeguarding issues and concerns are reported promptly in accordance with Local Authorities and Torus Safeguarding Policies
- Demonstrates evidence of an effective approach to customer care and service delivery Track record of monitoring and reviewing team member’s caseloads and multi[1]agency working
- Knowledge of completing assessments and developing support plans with targets and outcomes for clients
- Ability to travel to various locations using own or public transport
Interview Process
Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a presentation and competency-based questions. Interviews will take place w/c 11th November.
