Job summary

Morson is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker on behalf of a prestigious client in Barrow in Furness for long-term projects on UK engineering sites. Time-served and skilled in fabrication and HVAC work, you will join a team delivering world-class metalwork and installations.

The role requires fabrication and installation of sheet metal items with welding and related equipment, across days and night shifts with overtime, and includes BPSS clearance prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Time-served Sheet Metal Worker
• HVAC manufacture and installation experience
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures
• Knowledge of SHE risk assessments, PUWER and COSHH
• Ability to work at height and in confined spaces
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, engineering or marine environments
• Marine or shipbuilding experience is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal items.
• Confidently use welding and fabrication equipment on submarines during construction.
• Work with pipe protection, glam plates, small support systems – bunk spaces.
