Job summary

Morson Talent are recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker to join a leading aerospace company in Burnley. You will work within the Sheet Metal Components Team, manufacturing high-quality components from steel, aluminium and titanium.

Reading engineering drawings, marking out, drilling, cutting and forming parts using hand tools and mechanical aids will be part of your daily duties. The role requires a time-served apprenticeship in sheet metal work or NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3, with strong practical

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work or NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong practical skills with sheet metal tools and equipment; high accuracy and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high quality sheet metal components following drawings.
• Mark out, drill, cut and form parts to specification using hand techniques and machines such as guillotines, folders, shrinkers and forming wheels.
• Work as part of the Sheet Metal Components Team in an aerospace environment.

Pay: 18.25 per hour PAYE / 24.36 per hour UmbrellaLocation: BurnleySchedule: Monday to Friday – Days (with potential to move onto nights or change of shift pattern)

The role: You will be working as part of the Sheet Metal Components Team, manufacturing high-quality components using materials such as steel, aluminium, and titanium. Following engineering drawings, templates, and fixtures, you’ll be responsible for marking out, drilling, cutting, and forming parts to specification using a mix of hand techniques and mechanical aids such as guillotines, folders, shrinkers, and forming wheels.

What we’re looking for:

• Time-served apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work OR NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3
• Strong practical skills and experience using sheet metal tools and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• High levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and quality focus
