A leading MRO service provider in Manchester is seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics to perform major structural repairs and modifications. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and the ability to read manufacturers' drawings. This role offers the chance to work on innovative aircraft conversion projects, contributing to the future of aviation in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

All aspects of major structural repair and modifications to include but not limited to :

Removal of major aircraft structural sections, whilst stress jacked.

Working to fine tolerances and high standards.

Upholding high standards of housekeeping.

Adhering to company and manufacturers procedures.

Implementing modifications from drawings and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production or Live aircraft.

Ideally 5 years live aircraft and structures experience.

Demonstratable experience in aircraft modification / production environment.

Experience of implementing and carrying out aircraft component modifications.

Experienced and capable of reading manufacturers drawings and SRMs.

Excellent hand skills.

Takes full ownership and responsibility for own tasks.

Good organisational skills.

Good communicator.

Knowledge of MS Office applications.

Eligible to work in the UK.
