Qualifications

Job description
Your role

As a SHE Advisor, your mission is to provide operational and administrative support for the SHE function at Eastbourne and satellite sites, ensuring safe work practices and minimal environmental impact. You will support the SHE Manager in implementing improvements, achieving site objectives, and assisting up to 350 employees with daily SHE issues.

You will

  • Support the implementation of the SHE Management System (set out in Risk Control Elements RCE00 through to RCE28) at the Eastbourne site.
  • Plan and carry out internal audits on processes at PC Eastbourne and satellite sites in line with the requirements of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and local procedures while working towards an integrated SHEQ approach.
  • Track and report on SHE related non-conformances
  • Support SHE related projects as required.
  • Promote and influence a positive safety culture within the product company
  • Support process owners to achieve a sustainable approach to the assessment of all risks in their area, the recording of such risks and the swift introduction of measures to minimize such risks, both preventative and protective.
  • Provide support & guidance with COSHH, DSE & Ergonomic assessments.
  • Deliver SHE related training and awareness as required to employees under the direction of the SHE Manager.
  • Support the successful implementation of site SHE programmes, especially in informing, development and training.
  • Administer and support incident/hazard investigations and corrective actions.
  • Produce relevant reports and information as required.
  • Maintaining leading and lagging indicators and the reporting into GPS for “people” and “sustain” reporting.
  • Conduct SHE audits and inspections to support compliance to company and regulatory procedures. Prepare and maintain necessary regulatory documentation and reports. Where practical, integrate audits within the SHEQ functions.
  • Support teams across site in the execution of their SHE responsibilities.
  • Conduct and report on occupational health surveys.
  • Supporting Business Continuity activities and reporting.
  • Support safety representatives and be an active member of the SHE committee.
  • Support projects on safety and environmental subjects, including manual handling, COSHH, waste management.

  • Awareness of the practical application of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 standards
  • Microsoft Office applications, with particular strength in data analysis and reports.
