Job description

Overview

Shared Lives Carers provide short-term breaks (respite social care) in their homes to support people from the age of 18, with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and Asperger’s, physical disabilities, sensory impairment or who are living with dementia and older people. This could be for a single night, a weekend or a full week depending on the needs of the client.

Role details

Our Shared Lives Short Break Carers provide overnight accommodation and activities in order to give full time carers a break or clients a change of scenery.

You can provide short breaks in your own home or you can accompany clients on holiday (in which case, the client will contribute to your costs).
