A regional social care service in the East Midlands is looking for Shared Lives Carers to provide long-term support to adults with various care needs in their own homes. This role offers flexible working hours and the potential to earn up to £1,827 per week, alongside dedicated support from a worker. Ideal candidates will have a caring disposition and a commitment to enhance the lives of those needing care.
Shared Lives Carers provide long-term social care placements in their own homes to support people from the age of 18, with learning disabilities, mental health needs, autism and Asperger’s, physical disabilities, sensory impairment, dementia, older people, or lifelong disabilities who need personal care support in a homely environment.
The Shared Lives Longer Term Carer provides a home for adults with care and support needs. Being a Longer-Term Carer is not a lifelong commitment and placements are not permanent; however, placements can last between 1 year and upwards of 25 years.
As a self-employed carer, you work from your own home, choose your own hours, receive generous income tax incentives and can earn up to £1,827 per week. From the moment you decide to become a Shared Lives carer we provide a dedicated support worker to guide you.
