Job summary

First Choice is recruiting on behalf of our client, an international clothing manufacturer and retailer, for a Production Operative with sewing experience. The role is based in Castleford, with a pay rate of £13.50 per hour and early start times.

You'll follow instructions, adhere to quality procedures, and operate industrial sewing machines (lockstitch). Previous sewing experience is essential, and a sewing assessment will be conducted as part of the application process.

Role: Production Operative - Sewing

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 0630 - 1530, finishing at 1130 on Fridays

Location: Castleford

Previous experience is essential for this role, and the client will conduct a sewing assessment.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Follow instruction and monitor work practices to ensure that our products are made to agreed specifications;
• Adhere to quality procedures following our quality guidelines;
• Ensure continuous production is maintained;
• Operate equipment and machinery in a responsible manner, in line with the Health and Safety Policy;
• Maintain hourly work output paperwork;
• Keep your work area tidy, maintain good housekeeping

Requirements:
