Job summary

ITS (Hereford) Ltd in Ledbury is seeking an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. You will operate industrial sewing machines and produce high-quality products in a busy environment.

The role is Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, paid weekly at £13.20–£13.50 per hour. Ongoing temporary contract with opportunities to develop skills and gain further sewing experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as seamstress/sewing machinist.
• Proficient in sewing techniques and operating industrial sewing machines.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read and follow patterns, measurements and instructions.
• Able to carry out accurate measurements.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Industrial Sewing Machinist

Location: Ledbury

Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

We are seeking skilled Industrial Sewing Machinists to join our client's manufacturing team in Ledbury.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating industrial sewing machines, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for producing high-quality products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong sewing background to develop their skills within a busy and supportive manufacturing environment.

Experience Required

• High level of sewing ability, ideally with industrial materials and products
• Good knowledge of different fabrics and their properties

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience as a seamstress/sewing machinist or in a similar role
• Proficient in sewing techniques and operating industrial sewing machines
• Excellent attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
• Ability to read and follow patterns, measurements and instructions
• Able to carry out accurate measurements
• Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining high standards
• Able to identify mistakes, check finished work and correct faults
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Confident communicating with customers when required
• Conscientious, reliable and takes pride in their work
