Job summary

IWJS Holdings Ltd in Derby is seeking a Sewertronics lining engineer to prepare and set up equipment for UV lining operations, ensuring materials, tools and safety gear are ready and correctly configured. You will install and cure liners in wastewater pipes, monitor equipment performance, and record technical data during each job.

You will perform routine checks and basic maintenance, identify issues, and escalate complex faults.

Qualifications

• Experience with sewer lining, No Dig rehab techniques, or related wastewater infrastructure operations.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude for operating, setting up, and troubleshooting Sewertronics or UV curing equipment.
• Strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance, including working safely in confined spaces and around wastewater assets.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, method statements, and risk assessments, with accurate record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a professional approach to client and colleague interactions.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally to job sites as required.
• Previous experience in utilities, drainage, construction, or civil engineering is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, confined space training) or willingness to undertake company-provided training.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sewertronics lining engineer role based in Derby. The lining engineer will prepare and set up Sewertronics equipment for UV lining operations, ensuring all materials, tools, and safety gear are available and correctly configured. The role involves installing and curing liners in wastewater pipes, monitoring equipment performance, and recording technical data during each job. The engineer will carry out routine checks and basic maintenance on UV lining and associated equipment, identify operational issues, and elevate complex faults as needed. Day-to-day tasks include working as part of a site team, following method statements and risk assessments, adhering to health and safety requirements, completing job documentation, and interacting with clients and supervisors to ensure jobs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
