Job summary

Linsco is seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer for civil engineering and groundworks projects around Leicester and surrounding regions. You will ensure accurate setting out and surveying in line with drawings and project requirements, working closely with Site Managers and subcontractors to maintain quality and programme.

The role demands strong measurement skills, the ability to read drawings, use surveying instruments, and a valid CSCS card.

Qualifications

• Previous setting out and surveying experience in civil/groundworks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Competent use of surveying equipment and instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate setting out and surveying in line with drawings and site requirements.
• Establish and maintain site control points, benchmarks, lines and levels.
• Monitor measurements and ensure accuracy throughout construction.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to ensure correct delivery of works.
• Support groundworks, drainage, roads and foundations as required.
• Provide technical support to site managers and project teams.
