Overview

Site Setting Out Engineer Location: Brancote, Stafford Finlay Jude Associates is working with a leading delivery organisation within the UK water sector to recruit a Site Setting Out Engineer to join their Construction team.

This is a site-based role at Brancote, reporting directly to the Site Manager and playing a key role in ensuring construction works are delivered safely, accurately, and in full compliance with specifications and drawings.

Purpose

The Site Setting Out Engineer will provide setting out and quality control support to ensure contract works are constructed to the required standards. The role focuses on accuracy, safety leadership, and maintaining comprehensive site records throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with CDM Regulations and company safe working practices
  • Carry out setting out of works using appropriate surveying equipment
  • Check completed site works for compliance with specifications and approved drawings
  • Agree site measurements and records with client representatives
  • Maintain drawing files, drawing registers, and site filing systems
  • Liaise with the design team to ensure the latest approved information is used on site
  • Take off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and assist with requisitions
  • Support the preparation of construction completion and handover documentation
  • Ensure works are delivered to a high standard of quality in line with specifications and best practice
  • Maintain required quality records and inspection documentation
  • Work collaboratively with site staff to ensure compliance with current legislation and health & safety policies
About the Candidate / Qualifications
