Job description
We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Setting Out Engineer.
What will you be doing as our new Site Engineer?

Our site engineers play a critical role in the successful delivery of our projects. You will manage daily quality assurance activities, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks, and approvals. Additionally, you will support the site management teams with all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform daily site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out duties, quality checks, and approvals.

  • Support the Site Manager in liaising with the Engineering and Integration teams to resolve conflicts and ensure work complies with specifications and drawings.

  • Assist the site management teams with health, safety, and environmental management, coordinating with commercial, procurement, planning, and supply chain teams.

  • Support the Site Manager in material procurement, stock control, and liaising with the procurement team to ensure orders are within authorized limits.

  • Identify potential issues early and communicate concerns proactively.

  • Ensure project programme, quality, and cost targets are met by doing the right thing.

  • Explore alternative methods to improve delivery efficiency.

  • Minimize waste by ordering only the materials needed to optimize project performance.

  • Strive to reduce capital carbon footprint through innovation, substitution, and elimination.

You should have experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, with skills in planning ahead. Experience in Temporary Works supervision or lifting supervision is desirable but not essential. You should be proactive in resolving technical issues, enthusiastic about innovation, and committed to pursuing a career in construction.
