Responsibilities

• Accurately setting out and surveying construction sites in accordance with project specifications.
• Interpreting and working from technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Liaising with site managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitoring and maintaining accurate records of site activities and progress.
• Identifying and resolving any technical issues that may arise during the project.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer in the construction or civil engineering industry.
• A relevant degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser levels.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and construction plans.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
• A valid CSCS card and other relevant certifications (preferred).

Day-to-Day

• Conducting site surveys and setting out works in line with project requirements.
• Collaborating with site teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to project timelines.
• Preparing and maintaining detailed site records and reports.
• Addressing any technical challenges and providing solutions promptly.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety standards.
