Role description: Project Support

Sessional Youth Workers will work as part of a team to plan and facilitate work with young people which is engaging, challenging, fun, safe and supportive.

Main Roles And Responsibilities
  • Delivery of high quality face to face work with young people using a range of engagement methods
  • Plan and facilitate a range of educational and fun activities based on input from young people;
  • Support young people to access a range of opportunities both in, and beyond, their local neighbourhoods
  • Support and encourage young people to take on active roles within their neighbourhoods and beyond
  • Develop and implement a range of youth voice and consultation methods to highlight the views, experiences and needs of young people
  • Provide young people with appropriate information, support and signposting
  • Contribute to the regular and systematic collection and recording of data for the purpose of monitoring and evaluation
  • Manage time and resources effectively
  • Promote the work of the project and NE Youth with other professionals and members of the public
  • Ensure the safeguarding of all young people involved in NE Youth programmes
  • Maintain effective relationships with key individuals within the venues where our work takes place
  • Attend meetings, training and supervision sessions as and when required
  • Any other reasonable duties appropriate to the level and grading of the post
  • Carry out duties in line with NE Youth’s Policies, Procedures and Code of Conduct
  • Any other reasonable duties as identified by the Chief Executive and appropriate to the level and grading of the post
