Position

We are looking for Tutors for Science and Engineering to join our team. As a Sessional Tutor at University International College, you will provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. We are looking for individuals with knowledge and teaching expertise in two or more of the following areas: Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Statistics, Chemistry, and Information Technology.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Teach and support post-16 students; a teaching qualification would be an advantage.
  • Plan, deliver and review a range of learning activities to guide and support students to achieve and flourish.
  • Develop and update innovative teaching materials that engage all students.
  • Work collaboratively as part of teams to continually improve the student experience.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work under pressure to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commit to continuous professional development and use it to enhance the student experience.
  • Demonstrate experience of using technology to inform teaching practice and a willingness to embrace innovations.
  • Postgraduate qualification is preferred; a strong first degree or relevant professional experience will be considered.
  • If teaching English, a DELTA or equivalent qualification is desirable; CELTA plus relevant experience will also be considered.
