Salary Range : from £29.64 – £36.03 per hour (preparation time included)
Work Location : Macbeth Centre, Macbeth Street, London W6 9JJ or various off‑site venues in Hammersmith & Fulham.

We are recruiting qualified, innovative and dynamic Sessional Tutors and Lecturers to join our excellent team at the Macbeth Centre to teach courses in‑person (occasionally online) to adult learners. If you are successful, you will be added to our Tutor Pool so our Programme Managers can discuss course development with you. In some subjects, this will be for an immediate start.
Applicants must hold a recognised teaching qualification suitable for Further Education or Adult Learning or working towards one. Applicants should be confident in maintaining accurate course documentation in line with awarding body, funding body, and Ofsted requirements. Tutors are expected to complete all relevant teaching and learning documentation, including schemes of work, lesson plans, and learner progress records. Attendance at departmental meetings and participation in ongoing quality assurance processes is also required.
Qualified to teach Functional Skills Maths (Entry Level–Level 2)
Experience with adult learners
Delivers practical, confidence‑building lessons
Familiar with curricula such as City & Guilds, Pearson, NCFE
Skilled in inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated learning
Qualified BSL tutor (BSL Level 3+ (ideally Level 6))
Teaches Beginners to Level 2
Knowledge of Deaf culture and inclusive teaching practices
Uses varied teaching resources
Degree or equivalent in psychology
Experience teaching topics like human behaviour, cognition, and mental health in FE or adult education
Makes complex theories accessible to adult learners
Delivers engaging lessons using varied resources
Strong knowledge of historical periods, events, and themes
Experience teaching in FE or adult education
Delivers engaging sessions that promote discussion and critical thinking
Qualified counsellor with teaching experience from beginners to Level 3 in FE or adult education
Knowledge of theories, ethics, and skills
Uses adult learning methods and varied resources
Delivers low‑impact fitness classes for senior adults
Knowledge of age‑appropriate modifications and mobility support
Qualified instructor with senior adult teaching experience
Adapts poses for mobility, joint care, and balance
Skilled in breathwork and relaxation
Certified instructor with senior fitness experience
Focus on core strength, posture, and flexibility
Modifies exercises for varied ability levels
Teaches Tai Chi for health and well‑being (Beginners to Improvers)
Knowledge of gentle movement, balance, and mindfulness
Supports learners with mobility or balance challenges
Skilled in Qi Gong for relaxation, energy flow, and joint health
Experience with senior adults in adult education
Leads calming, accessible sessions
Qualified in cardiac rehab or exercise referral

Additionally, certifications in digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, Hootsuite) or able to demonstrate up‑to‑date knowledge
Experience with campaigns, SEO, content, analytics
Teaches trends, tools (e.g. Canva, Mailchimp, Google Ads)
Skilled in WordPress CMS, themes, plugins
Experience with HTML, CSS, basic PHP
Builds responsive, SEO‑optimised sites
Skilled in Python or similar language
Teaches clean code, algorithms, debugging, Git
Experience with IDEs and command‑line tools
Qualified at Level 3+ and in workplace assessment
Experience in care settings (NHS, residential, domiciliary)
Knowledge of safeguarding and person‑centred care

Qualified at Level 3 and as Assessor (A1 / CAVA)
